I know I said I wouldn’t be putting up binary releases anymore, but this one is notable as the binary release isn’t linux specific. It’s even a zip file. If you have SDL packages installed on your windows box (do they *have* SDL packages for windows? i have no clue..) Things should work. In fact any little endian 32 bit OS with the proper SDL packages + mono should work. 64 bit and/or big endian may work, I just haven’t tested.
here’s the release post.
- my max heart rate during yesterday’s ride. Given that the normal, flawed age/weight calculation puts my max hr at 189, I was really cooking. I should figure out what my actual max hr is.
the little gizmo (which totally rocks, by the way) also told me I burned 1920 calories riding 40 miles. 2000 calories. crazy.
Unfortunately it didn’t stop taking samples when we stopped for breaks (which we did fairly often), so it reported my average speed at 7.8 mph, heh.
Technology is cool.
so, a couple weeks ago I mailed the FBI a FOIA request for my file. I figured since they raided me, they’d have some information on file. You know, at least some pertaining to the investigation.
Today I got a letter from them which says:
“To promply respond to requests, we concentrate on identifying main files in the central records system at FBI Headquarters. No records responsive to your FOIPA request were located by a search of the automated indices.”
It then goes on to tell me I can file an administrative appeal within 60 days by writing the Office of Information and Privacy in the Department of Justice.
Anyone know *anything* about this sort of thing? Any FBI people still reading my blog? Is it possible to be raided and have equipment seized and *not* have a file?
Maybe I should concentrate my efforts on getting ahold of the affadavit which was used to get the search warrant in the first place.
so I was sick of the fonts in scsharp looking like ass, so I layered yet another hack on top of the hack that is the font rendering, and made things look a little better.

I won’t take up much space here, since other people have already said it much better than I can.
I’d forgotten about how esquivel immediately claimed my telescope case (see elly’s picture, and for more just trim the image name from the url) when I brought it out to look at saturn and jupiter one night. It was dark colored, soft (particularly when the scope wasn’t inside it), and was left in the sunniest part of the house so it got nice and warm. He loved the inside more, but after seeing the huge amount of cat hair he deposited after only 1 day of rolling around on the soft foam, I cleaned it out and zipped it shut. Thereafter it became his couch.
sad to see ya go, esquivel.
